Job Description

Want to grow as a chef? This wood-fired pizzeria in Somerset West gives you real stations and real volume. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Somerset West. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Help cost recipes and track waste on the weekly sheet.
Cook for banquets and conference lunches of 100 to 400 guests.
Label, date and rotate stock using first-in, first-out.
Bake breads, pastries or desserts for the morning buffet.
Plate to the spec photo so every dish looks the same.
Prep veg, sauces, marinades and portions from the daily mise en place list.

What you need

Good knife skills and you can prep at speed
1 to 3 years in a busy commercial kitchen
Comfortable in heat, on your feet, for long split shifts
You take instruction from the head chef without drama
A culinary certificate or City & Guilds, or solid on-the-job experience

What you get
