Job Description

Housekeeping keeps a casino hotel in Montague Gardens running quietly in the background. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

This post is Montague Gardens-based, with most of your time spent at a casino hotel.

The work, day to day

Report broken fittings, leaks and damage to maintenance.
Wash, dry and press linen and table cloths in the laundry.
Mix chemicals safely and store them as the MSDS sheet shows.
Hand in lost property with a written log entry.
Clean bathrooms, showers and toilets with the correct colour-coded cloths.
Inspect rooms against the checklist before release to front office.

Must-haves

Honest and trustworthy around guest belongings
Fit enough to lift mattresses and push trolleys all day
You work neatly and notice a hair on a pillow
You can finish around 14 rooms in a shift
Hotel, guesthouse or domestic cleaning experience
Grade 10 or higher
