Job Description

Start in retail here: a township shopping centre store in Brits trains packers who show up and work neat. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Location: Brits, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
Collect trolleys from the parking lot
Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle

Must-haves

Honest, since stock losses are checked closely
Able to stand and lift cases all shift
Available for weekends, month-end and public holidays
Grade 10 or matric
Basic reading and maths for price checks
Polite with customers and happy to help

Extra points for

Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
Some till or cash-handling experience
Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
