Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Kempton Park, and you move the stock in between. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a container unpacking yard in Kempton Park. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts

• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• Past work as a driver's assistant
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Uniform and safety shoes provided

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
