Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this beverage depot in Lephalale, and you move the stock in between. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

You'll be based at a beverage depot in Lephalale. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off

• Friendly with customers at the door
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Willing to travel on routes that return late

• Basic furniture assembly skills
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
