Loading Bay Hand (Beverage Depot)

Trucks come in heavy and leave loaded at this container unpacking yard in Polokwane, and you move the stock in between. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

This post is Polokwane-based, with most of your time spent at a container unpacking yard. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Sweep the bay and clear shrink-wrap after each loading
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts

• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
