Job Description

Retail in Sandton runs on thin margins, and a supermarket needs someone guarding its stock. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

You'll report in Sandton. Relocation is not covered for this one. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

What you'll actually do

Record every incident with photos, times and value of goods
Search staff bags at exit points according to store policy
Review CCTV footage to confirm suspected theft
Walk the floor in plain clothes and watch for shoplifting behaviour
Check receiving bay deliveries against invoices and seal numbers

Must-haves

Good report writing
Able to handle confrontation calmly
Knowledge of lawful arrest and search under the Criminal Procedure Act
Discreet, observant and honest
Matric or equivalent NQF Level 4
Available for retail hours including month-end weekends

Understanding of stock systems and shrinkage reports
