Meat Processing Line Worker – Immediate Start

You'll keep the line running at a meat processing plant in Mthatha, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Mthatha-based, with most of your time spent at a meat processing plant.

• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run
• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
• Record batch codes and counts on the hourly production sheet
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines

• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Available for rotating day and night shifts
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
