Meat Processing Line Worker – Entry Level

Here in Tembisa, an industrial bakery needs steady people who can repeat a task well for eight hours. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Tembisa. Relocation is not covered for this one. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines

• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
• Available for rotating day and night shifts

• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• NQF Level 2 manufacturing learnership completed
• Some basic first-aid training

• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Path to machine operator after six months
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
