Merchandiser (Grocery Rep Route) – Entry Level

Night fill, weekends or month-end rush, a township shopping centre store in Worcester needs extra hands. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

Location: Worcester, Western Cape. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle
• Pack shelves from the back, rotating older stock to the front (first in, first out)
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager

• Grade 10 or matric
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Basic reading and maths for price checks
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Honest, since stock losses are checked closely

• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
• Own transport for route merchandising jobs

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
