Job Description

A security company in Worcester wants a firm, fair supervisor for its mining operation. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Home base is a mining operation on the Worcester side of Western Cape.

The work, day to day

Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours
Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows

Must-haves

At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
Firm with staff but fair and consistent
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites

Helpful, not essential

Own reliable vehicle
Mining or hospital security experience
