Job Description

For a courier depot in Bellville, fast and careful deliveries keep customers coming back. Good for someone who wants to build a solid track record they can put on their CV.

This post is Bellville-based, with most of your time spent at a courier depot. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

What you'll actually do

Deliver chronic medication to patients' homes and confirm ID
Bank cheques, post documents and run office errands
Phone customers when the address is hard to find
Load parcels in route order from the depot scanning area
Fill up the vehicle and keep fuel slips for the logbook
Follow the delivery app for route and stop order
Return undelivered parcels to the depot with a reason code

What you need

Polite with customers at the door
Smartphone and comfortable using delivery apps
Able to work Saturdays
Clean driving record and no criminal record

Extra points for

PrDP for staff shuttle posts
Previous courier or last-mile experience
Your own reliable bakkie or bike for owner-driver contracts
