Job Description

When the network goes down at this data centre in Coega, you're the one who brings it back. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

This post is in Coega (Eastern Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

What you'll actually do

Run and test backups, and do regular restore drills
Configure switches, VLANs, VPNs and firewall rules
Manage users, groups and conditional access in Entra ID
Apply monthly patches to servers and network devices
Work with ISPs on link faults and fibre installs

Must-haves

Degree or diploma in IT, plus relevant certifications
Strong Windows Server, Active Directory and Microsoft 365 skills, or Linux for Linux posts
Solid TCP/IP, routing, switching and firewall knowledge
Clear change management and documentation habits
Scripting in PowerShell, Bash or Python
Willing to do standby and after-hours maintenance

Helpful, not essential

Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or AWS Solutions Architect Associate
Experience with SIEM tools such as Microsoft Sentinel or Wazuh
