Night Shift Security Officer (Grade D)

You'll control who comes in and out of an industrial park in Pretoria West, and log every visitor properly. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

You'll be based at an industrial park in Pretoria West. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Test the panic button and radio when you come on duty
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Patrol the perimeter on a set route and scan checkpoint tags
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)

• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date
• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends
• Clean criminal record

• Previous experience at a similar site type
• Firefighting or evacuation training
• First-aid Level 1 certificate

• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions
• Stable long-term site contracts
