Night Shift Security Officer (Grade D)

You'll control who comes in and out of a gated residential estate in Welkom, and log every visitor properly. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Welkom, Free State. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Grade 10 minimum; matric preferred
• Speaks and writes basic English
• PSIRA registration at Grade C or higher, paid up to date

• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Provident fund contributions
• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
