Offloader (Container Depot)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a beverage depot in Middelburg (MP) wants. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The site is in Middelburg (MP); early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Ride with the driver and carry goods into customers' premises
• Assemble or place furniture where the customer asks
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Strap and secure loads so nothing shifts in transit
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count

• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• No criminal record
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day
• Honest; you will be handling customer goods and cash-on-delivery slips
• Friendly with customers at the door

• Past work as a driver's assistant
• Speaking more than one local language for customer drops
• A Code 8 or Code 10 licence (a route to becoming a driver)

• Uniform and safety shoes provided
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Help to get your own licence through the company later
• Meal allowance on long-route days

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
