Job Description

You'll mix, carry, dig and clean up so the tradespeople on a school building project in Middelburg (MP) can keep building. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

Home base is a school building project on the Middelburg (MP) side of Mpumalanga.

What you'll actually do

Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
Clean tools, mixers and wheelbarrows at the end of each day
Compact soil and layer bedding sand with a plate compactor
Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches

Must-haves

Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
A clean record is preferred for some government sites

Nice if you have

Living near the site (many projects hire local labour)
A working-at-heights or scaffolding ticket
Previous site work you can show with a reference
