Offloader (Container Depot)

Strong back, sharp eyes on the load sheet: that is what a beverage depot in Mogwase wants. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

This post is Mogwase-based, with most of your time spent at a beverage depot. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Load trucks from the load sheet in drop order, last stop first
• Get proof-of-delivery notes signed and stamped at each drop
• Check goods received against the delivery note and flag shorts
• Offload containers by hand, counting cartons as they come off
• Stack returns and empties neatly for the next count
• Guide trucks reversing into the bay with hand signals

• No criminal record
• Comfortable starting from 04:00 or working late loading shifts
• Grade 9 or higher and able to read a delivery note
• Friendly with customers at the door
• Willing to travel on routes that return late
• Able to lift and carry heavy items all day

• Meal allowance on long-route days
• Route-completion incentives in busy months
• Uniform and safety shoes provided

• Say what hours you can start. Loading bays often hire the person who can be there at 04:00 without fail.
• If you are learning to drive, mention it. Depots like to grow assistants into drivers.
