Order Picker (Cold Store)

You'll keep a busy spares and hardware warehouse in Tzaneen stocked, picked and moving out on time. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Tzaneen, Limpopo, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. There's a probation period of three months before the contract is confirmed.

• Move pallets with a hand pallet jack to the dispatch lane
• Keep aisles clear of plastic, cardboard and loose pallets
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor

• Punctual, with reliable transport home after late shifts
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred

• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate
• Basic computer skills for capturing counts

• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays

• Arrive for the interview in closed shoes. Some warehouses walk you through the floor straight away.
• Say clearly that you can work nights and weekends. Peak-season hiring goes to people who are available.
