Paving Team Labourer

You'll mix, carry, dig and clean up so the tradespeople on a low-cost housing development in Springs can keep building. Someone who likes a bit of variety, but also likes doing things the right way, will enjoy this.

The work is in Springs, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Erect and strip shutters and simple scaffolding under supervision
• Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
• Clear rubble and load it into skips
• Cut and lay paving bricks along string lines
• Set up barriers, cones and signs around open trenches

• Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
• Willing to start early, often at 06:30
• Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
• Prepared to travel between sites in the area

• Registered on your ward or municipal job-seeker database
• Living near the site (many projects hire local labour)

• Boots, hard hat and overalls issued on site
