Production Assistant (Chemical Blending) – Experienced

You'll keep the line running at a meat processing plant in Kempton Park, feeding, checking and packing product all shift. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

Location: Kempton Park, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
• Help the machine operator clear jams and reload hoppers
• Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
• Pack finished product into cases and stack them by batch number
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones
• Clean down machines and floors at the end of each run

• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start
• Able to stand for a full shift in a noisy, warm area
• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage

• Experience assisting on a packaging or filling machine
• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory

• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Path to machine operator after six months

• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
