Payroll and HR Administrator (SME)

A retail head office in Klerksdorp needs a payroll person who never misses a cut-off. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a retail head office in Klerksdorp. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Start date: as soon as possible for the right person.

• Capture new hires, terminations, increases and deductions before cut-off
• Declare UIF on uFiling and help staff with UI-19 forms
• Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private
• Calculate leave pay, notice pay and final pay under the BCEA
• Submit monthly EMP201 returns and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL on eFiling

• Matric plus a payroll certificate or diploma
• Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
• At least 2 years of full-function payroll
• Experience on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay
• You keep salary information private under POPIA
• Comfortable with Excel reconciliations

• Say how many employees you paid and how often, such as "1,200 weekly-paid staff on VIP"; volume matters.
• Mention EMP501 and IRP5 by name; employers want proof you can handle the year-end tax cycle.
