Job Description

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a payroll bureau in Umhlanga, accurate to the cent. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

This post is Umhlanga-based, with most of your time spent at a payroll bureau. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What your day looks like

Process garnishee orders, loans and third-party deductions.
Import clock-card data and check overtime against the BCEA limits.
Declare UIF on uFiling and assist staff with UI-19 forms.
Submit the monthly EMP201 on SARS eFiling and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL.
Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private.

What you need

SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
At least 2 years running a full payroll end to end
Trusted with confidential salary data
Matric plus a payroll, bookkeeping or HR qualification

Helpful, not essential

ETI claim experience
SAPA (South African Payroll Association) membership or certification
