Personal Loans Sales Consultant (Branch) – Fixed-Term

You'll sell cover that families really use, from a personal loans branch in Johannesburg CBD. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a personal loans branch in Johannesburg CBD. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Do a needs analysis and match the client to the right product.
• Capture new policies on the admin system and check debit order details.
• Follow up on quotes sent and chase missing documents.
• Track daily sales, conversions and lapse rates on the team board.
• Explain waiting periods, exclusions and premiums in plain terms.
• Save policies when clients call to cancel.
• Call warm leads from the dialler and qualify them in the first minute.

• You are comfortable earning a large part of your pay in commission
• RE5 passed, or willing to write it within the first year
• Honest selling, even when the easy sale is the wrong one
• FAIS fit and proper: clean credit and criminal record
• Six months or more of sales, telesales or call centre work
• Credits toward a recognised FSCA qualification, or willing to start

• A qualification such as a Higher Certificate in Financial Planning
• Your own car for field appointments
• Completed class of business training for short-term or long-term insurance

• CPD hours logged and funded
• Basic salary plus uncapped commission
• Medical aid and group life cover once permanent
• RE5 exam fees and study material paid

• Show commission history with real figures from payslips; interviewers trust numbers over claims.
