Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for a bank's digital channels team in Roodepoort. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

You'll report in Roodepoort. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What you'll actually do

Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Write unit and integration tests before you merge
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments

Must-haves

Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Stable internet and a quiet workspace for remote days
Experience writing automated tests

Nice if you have

Public GitHub portfolio or published app
Docker and Kubernetes experience
