Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for an insurance company software team in Sandton. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

Home base is an insurance company software team on the Sandton side of Gauteng.

What you'll actually do

Pair with junior developers to unblock them
Pick up tickets from the sprint board and estimate the work
Document how your features work for support and new developers
Handle personal data safely, with POPIA rules in mind
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries

What you need

Experience writing automated tests
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Commercial experience in at least one of PHP, C#, Java, Python or JavaScript
