Plumber's Helper (Residential)

You'll mix, carry, dig and clean up so the tradespeople on a townhouse construction site in Umhlanga can keep building. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

You'll be based at a townhouse construction site in Umhlanga. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Carry bricks, blocks and cement bags to where the bricklayers work
• Sign the daily safety talk register before work starts
• Help offload deliveries of steel, timber and pipes
• Mix concrete and mortar by hand or with a small mixer
• Clear rubble and load it into skips
• Pass tools and materials to the plumber or electrician as needed

• Able to follow instructions from a foreman or artisan
• Willing to start early, often at 06:30
• Physically strong and fit for outdoor work in all weather
• A clean record is preferred for some government sites
• You take safety rules seriously and wear full PPE
