Power BI Insights Analyst

You'll turn messy data into reports managers actually use, for a telecoms provider in Isando. You don't need to be the loudest person in the room, just the one others can count on.

The site is in Isando; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards and data models
• Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA

• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field
• Advanced Excel
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
• Careful with sensitive customer data

• Python with pandas for data wrangling
• Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit

• Latest laptop with extra screen
• Paid cloud and BI certifications
• Hybrid work with two office days

• Build one public portfolio dashboard on a South African open data set if you have no work samples to share.
• Show a before-and-after, like "replaced a 6-hour manual report with an automatic daily dashboard".
