Power BI Insights Analyst

Build the SQL, models and dashboards that run the weekly meeting at a microlender in Midrand. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

You'll be based at a microlender in Midrand. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Write SQL to pull, join and clean data from several sources
• Present findings to managers in plain language with clear charts
• Build ETL pipelines in SSIS, Azure Data Factory or Python
• Meet business users to turn their questions into report requirements
• Automate weekly reports that used to take hours in Excel
• Keep a data dictionary so everyone uses the same definitions
• Mask or remove personal information in data sets under POPIA

• Strong SQL, including joins, window functions and CTEs
• At least 2 years in a data or reporting role (not needed for graduate posts)
• Hands-on Power BI, Tableau or a similar tool
• Degree in statistics, maths, computer science, economics or a related field

• Industry knowledge in retail, insurance or credit
• Experience with Databricks, Snowflake or Fabric

• Latest laptop with extra screen
