Quality Sorter (Packaging Factory) – Entry Level

Machines set the pace at this plastic moulding plant in Brackenfell; you keep up and catch the faults. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

This post is in Brackenfell (Western Cape). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
• Hand over at shift change with notes on rejects and stoppages
• Feed raw material or empty packaging into the machine at the start of the line
• Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card
• Wear hairnets, beard covers and gloves in food-safe zones

• Grade 10 minimum, matric an advantage
• Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
• Basic reading and counting for batch sheets
• Neat, reliable and on time for shift start

• Previous work in a food or FMCG factory
• A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate

• Staff shop with discounted factory products
• Company transport on some night shifts
• Path to machine operator after six months
• Free PPE, overalls and hairnets

• Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
• Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
