Job Description

Good factory hands stay for years, and this snack food factory in Stellenbosch trains from day one. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

The site is in Stellenbosch; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying.

What your day looks like

  • Move full bins and crates to the next station with a trolley
  • Follow lock-out procedures when helping with cleaning inside machines
  • Check product for size, weight and seal faults and pull out rejects
  • Stop the line with the emergency stop if anything jams or looks unsafe
  • Weigh ingredients or additives against the recipe card

Must-haves

  • No problem wearing full PPE, including ear protection
  • You follow hygiene rules without being reminded
  • Medically fit; some food plants ask for a medical check
  • Basic reading and counting for batch sheets

Nice if you have

  • A food handler or basic HACCP awareness certificate
  • Some basic first-aid training
  • Previous work in a food or FMCG factory

What you get

  • Company transport on some night shifts
  • Path to machine operator after six months
  • Night-shift allowance on top of basic pay

How to apply

  1. Make sure the role, the hours and working in Stellenbosch really suit you before you apply.
  2. Get these ready, because shortlisted people are asked for them straight away: CV listing any factory or packing work, even short-term plus ID copy, certified within the last three months.
  3. Send your details with the form below. Add one or two lines about similar work you've done.
  4. Watch for a call or WhatsApp from How2Apply over the next 9 working days.

How to stand out

  • Name the products you worked on before, like "biscuit line" or "juice bottling". Factory recruiters read that faster than a job title.
  • Do not wear jewellery or long nails to the interview if it is on site. Food factories notice and it counts.
