Rapid Response Officer (Farm Security)

When a panic button goes off in a farming district in Krugersdorp, you are the one who arrives first. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The work is in Krugersdorp, Gauteng, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Give first aid at an incident until paramedics take over
• Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
• Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
• Write detailed incident reports on the tablet or in the vehicle logbook
• Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs
• Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests

• Clean criminal record and no pending cases
• Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
• PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
• SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)

• Knowledge of the local streets and sectors
• First-aid Level 2 or 3
• SAPS, SANDF or reservist background

• Response vehicle and firearm provided
• Regular refresher shooting practice
• Danger and night allowances
