Returns Processing Hand

This is steady, physical warehouse work at a frozen-food distribution centre in George, and nobody minds if it's your first job. It's a practical job: you'll see what you got done before you go home.

Home base is a frozen-food distribution centre on the George side of Western Cape. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

• Report damaged, short or expired items to the shift supervisor
• Label boxes with the correct waybill and route sticker
• Pack cartons, add fillers and seal them with tape guns
• Pick orders from pick slips or a handheld scanner, bin by bin
• Wear thermal gear and rotate in and out of freezer zones on schedule
• Count stock during weekly cycle counts and month-end stock takes

• Grade 10 or higher; matric preferred
• You're fit enough to lift boxes up to 25kg all shift
• South African ID or a valid work permit
• Clean criminal record (most warehouses run a check)
• Willing to wear safety boots, a reflector vest and gloves
• You can read product codes and count accurately

• Previous picking experience with a handheld RF scanner
• Living within walking or taxi distance of the warehouse
• A valid forklift or reach truck certificate

• Overtime paid at time-and-a-half on weekdays
• Permanent appointment for reliable temps after peak season
• Chance to be trained on forklift after probation
• Staff canteen with subsidised meals
