Shelf Packer (Supermarket, Weekend Shift)

Night fill, weekends or month-end rush, a township shopping centre store in Brackenfell needs extra hands. Expect to be trusted with real work from your first week.

The site is in Brackenfell; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Weigh, bag and price fruit and vegetables
• Face products so labels point forward and gaps are filled
• Check sell-by dates and pull expired stock for the manager
• Help customers find products and carry heavy items to cars
• Clean spills fast and put up wet-floor signs
• Unpack deliveries in the receiving area and sort by aisle

• Neat appearance and punctual
• Polite with customers and happy to help
• Grade 10 or matric
• Able to stand and lift cases all shift
• Basic reading and maths for price checks

• Being 18 or older for liquor store roles
• Previous shelf packing or merchandising work
• Some till or cash-handling experience

• Travel allowance on merchandising routes
• Chance to move into till or department roles
• Paid training in store procedures

• Hand your CV in at the store in person, early in the week, and ask for the store or receiving manager by name.
• If you have ever sold anything, even at a school tuck shop or a family stall, list it. It shows you are comfortable with customers.
