Job Description

You'll run a shift of officers at a mining operation in Middelburg (MP), keeping posts covered and standards high. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a mining operation on the Middelburg (MP) side of Mpumalanga. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
Do surprise night visits to check posts
Investigate incidents and write reports for the client
Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
Meet the client weekly on security concerns

You'll need

Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
Matric, with a security management course a plus
Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)

Extra points for

Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
Mining or hospital security experience
Labour relations or basic supervision course
