Security Area Manager (Night Rounds) – Experienced

You'll run a shift of officers at a mining operation in Sandton, keeping posts covered and standards high. People who do well here are steady, honest and not scared to ask when something is unclear.

The site is in Sandton; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Most weeks are 45 hours, in line with the BCEA.

• Post officers when the shift changes over and cover no-shows
• Inspect guards on post for uniform, alertness and OB entries
• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records

• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Valid Code 8 licence and willing to drive between sites
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• Matric, with a security management course a plus

• Labour relations or basic supervision course
• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
