Security Dispatcher (Armed Response) – Fixed-Term

Sharp eyes and a calm voice are the tools of the trade at a shopping mall security office in Rosslyn. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

Location: Rosslyn, Gauteng. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Monitor live CCTV feeds and zoom in on suspicious movement
• Track stolen vehicles on the map and guide recovery teams
• Dispatch the nearest response vehicle over the radio
• Talk down intruders over on-site speakers when the system allows
• Log every event and action on the monitoring software
• Pull and save video footage for incident investigations

• Good memory for sites, streets and procedures
• No criminal convictions (vetting is done before you start)
• Clear speaking voice on radio and phone
• Computer literate and quick on a keyboard

• Speaking more than one local language
• Call centre work in the past
• CCTV operator short course

• Path to senior controller or supervisor
• Shift allowance for nights
• Indoor, air-conditioned work environment
• Training on the monitoring software
