Job Description

You'll build and ship features that real users touch every day, for a software development house in Lephalale. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Home base is a software development house on the Lephalale side of Limpopo. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

The work, day to day

Build and consume REST or GraphQL APIs
Investigate production bugs using logs and monitoring dashboards
Review teammates' pull requests with useful comments
Write, test and refactor code in your team's main language
Join daily stand-ups and sprint planning
Design database tables and write efficient SQL queries

What you need

A computer science or IT qualification, or a portfolio that proves you can build
Solid Git habits: branches, pull requests and meaningful commit messages
You can explain technical choices to non-technical people
Good SQL and understanding of relational databases
Experience writing automated tests

Extra points for

Knowledge of secure coding and the OWASP Top 10
Docker and Kubernetes experience
Cloud certification on AWS, Azure or Google Cloud
