Service Desk Consultant (Furniture Store)

Customers bring their problems to your counter at a private clinic front desk in Isando, and leave with answers. If you turn up on time and finish what you start, you'll fit in quickly.

You'll report in Isando. Relocation is not covered for this one. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

• Book repairs and warranty claims and give customers a reference number.
• Log complaints and pass them to the store or branch manager.
• Upsell contract upgrades, accessories or cover when it fits the customer.
• Process returns, exchanges and credit notes under the Consumer Protection Act.
• Call customers when repairs or orders are ready to collect.
• Greet customers, find out what they need and manage the queue ticket system.
• Take payments, balance your till and bank cash at close.

• You can stay polite with a long queue watching
• Presentable and approachable with all kinds of customers
• Good on a computer and point-of-sale system
• Matric (Grade 12) certificate
• Retail hours, including Saturdays, Sundays and month-end

• Medical scheme or insurance product knowledge
• RICA and cellular product knowledge

• Apply close to home: stores prefer people who can reach the mall reliably for opening and closing shifts.
