Shift Supervisor (Guarding Contract) – Immediate Start

You'll run a shift of officers at a retail portfolio in Epping, keeping posts covered and standards high. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

The site is in Epping; early starts mean public transport timing matters, so check your route before applying. Overtime comes up in peak season and is paid.

• Check that PSIRA registrations of staff on site are current
• Handle discipline issues fairly and keep written records
• Meet the client weekly on security concerns
• Run on-site training on procedures and emergency drills
• Do surprise night visits to check posts
• Order and issue uniform, radios and torches
• Plan the monthly roster to stay within legal working hours

• PSIRA Grade B (Grade A for area manager posts)
• Matric, with a security management course a plus
• Firm with staff but fair and consistent
• At least 3 years in security, including 1 as a supervisor
• Available after hours for emergencies
• Confident writer of incident reports and rosters

• Handgun competency for armed supervisor posts
• Computer skills for rosters in Excel or a workforce app
• Mining or hospital security experience

• Company vehicle or car allowance on area roles

• Say how many officers you supervised and on which sites. The number matters more than the title.
