Site Security Officer (Construction Yard)

Steady 12-hour shifts at a private school campus in Klerksdorp for PSIRA-registered officers. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

Location: Klerksdorp, North West. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Hours are mostly Monday to Friday, with the odd Saturday in busy months.

• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Open and close boom gates for residents, deliveries and contractors
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Check visitors' IDs and capture them on the visitor app or in the gate register

• Alert, polite and firm with the public
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

• A Code 8 licence for vehicle patrols
• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Firefighting or evacuation training

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Provident fund contributions
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules

• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
