Site Security Officer (Construction Yard) – Fixed-Term

You'll control who comes in and out of a private school campus in Middelburg (MP), and log every visitor properly. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll be based at a private school campus in Middelburg (MP). Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps.

• Hand out and collect contractor access cards
• Keep the guardhouse clean and the OB up to date for the relieving officer
• Write every incident and shift change in the occurrence book (OB)
• Call the armed response or SAPS number from the call list when needed
• Watch for loitering, broken fencing and open doors during night patrols
• Direct traffic and parking during school drop-off or big events
• Search vehicles and bags leaving the site when company policy requires it

• Physically fit for foot patrols
• Speaks and writes basic English
• Clear, neat handwriting for the OB and registers
• Able to work 12-hour day and night shifts, including weekends

• Experience on estate access apps or biometric readers
• Previous experience at a similar site type

• Uniform, boots and winter jacket issued
• Stable long-term site contracts
• Paid night-shift allowance under the security sector rules
• Chance to be upgraded to Grade B with training

• Arrive for the interview in neat clothes with your certificates in a plastic sleeve. It shows the discipline they want.
• List the types of sites you have guarded, like estate, mall or factory. Security companies place officers by site experience.
