Job Description

Got an eye for a smooth finish? The independent panel shop in Bethlehem wants your skills in the booth or on the jig. Bring a calm head on busy days and you'll be fine.

Home base is an independent panel shop on the Bethlehem side of Free State.

What your day looks like

Mix paint colours with a spectrophotometer and the mixing scheme
Mask up vehicles properly to keep overspray off glass and trim
Fit new panels using spot welding and bonding methods
Repair dents with hammers, dollies and a stud welder
Apply filler, sand and prime to a smooth, ready surface
Spray base coat and 2K clear coat in the booth

You'll need

Good colour vision and a steady hand
A portfolio or references from previous body shops
Physically able to stand, bend and kneel for long periods
Able to work to insurer repair times and quality standards

Nice if you have

Experience as a workshop controller in a body shop
ADAS camera and sensor recalibration after repairs
Aluminium and high-strength steel repair training
