Job Description

You'll answer alarms across a farming district in Cape Town CBD in a marked vehicle, armed and ready. It suits someone who likes knowing exactly what a good day's work looks like.

This post is Cape Town CBD-based, with most of your time spent at a farming district. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

The work, day to day

Visit clients for key-holder checks and open-up requests
Respond to alarm and panic signals sent by the control room
Do vehicle checks: tyres, fuel, lights and siren
Drive the response vehicle safely at speed to client addresses
Search the property perimeter and check doors, windows and gates
Carry out visible patrols through the sector between call-outs

You'll need

PSIRA Grade B or C with an armed response course
Able to work 12-hour rotating shifts
Valid Code 8 or Code 10 licence with at least 2 years driving
SAPS firearm competency certificate for handguns (and shotgun if required)
At least 2 years in guarding or response
Calm under pressure and physically fit
