Job Description

Returns, assessments and objections all land on your desk at an import and export trading house in Centurion. If you learn fast and don't mind being shown things twice, you'll settle in within a few weeks.

You'll report in Centurion. Relocation is not covered for this one.

What your day looks like

Check SARS assessments and flag errors to clients
Draft objections and appeals with supporting schedules
Advise on deductions such as retirement contributions and home office claims
Apply for tax clearance and tax compliance status PINs
Register clients for income tax, VAT and PAYE

You'll need

Comfortable handling tax season overtime
Registered tax practitioner with a recognised controlling body such as SAIT or SAIPA
Neat, careful and organised with client documents
Degree or diploma in accounting or tax
At least 2 years of SARS eFiling experience
Working knowledge of the Income Tax Act and VAT Act
