Job Description

A cleaning contractor in Umhlanga needs dependable cleaners for a shopping centre. If you like clear targets and knowing where you stand, this is for you.

This post is in Umhlanga (KwaZulu-Natal). Please only apply if you can travel there daily. The first two weeks are spent shadowing someone experienced.

The work, day to day

Refill toilet paper, hand towel and soap dispensers
Empty bins and take waste to the correct recycling or general skip
Vacuum carpets and mop hard floors following the daily cleaning schedule
Run a scrubber-dryer machine on large tiled areas
Sign the ablution checklist on the back of the door after each clean
Report broken fittings, leaks or empty stock to the site supervisor

Must-haves

You take pride in a job done properly, even when nobody checks
Clean criminal record for most corporate sites
Able to start early, often 05:00 or 06:00
Honest, because you work around laptops and personal items

On offer

Paid overtime for weekend deep cleans
UIF and paid leave under the cleaning sector rules
Uniform and cleaning gloves provided
Permanent contract once the site contract is secured
