Job Description

You'll build parts or whole vehicles on a moving line at the wiring harness factory in Alberton. This is a good step for someone who wants proper routine and a manager who notices good work.

Home base is a wiring harness factory on the Alberton side of Gauteng. Weekend work is on a roster, so you won't be on every weekend.

What you'll actually do

Check parts for defects before they go into the vehicle
Load and unload robotic welding cells safely
Take part in kaizen ideas to improve your station
Rotate between stations as the team leader plans
Follow standard work sheets and quality checkpoints at every step
Keep your station clean using 5S rules

What you need

Able to stand for a full shift and do repeat tasks without losing focus
Good eyesight and hand coordination
Willing to work rotating shifts, including nights
Can follow written and visual work instructions
Able to pass a basic literacy and numeracy test

Extra points for

NQF 2 in Automotive Manufacturing and Assembly through merSETA
Basic computer skills
