Job Description

You'll run weekly and monthly payrolls for a hospital group in Isando, accurate to the cent. It's the kind of job where doing the basics well every day gets you noticed.

You'll be based at a hospital group in Isando. Living nearby, or on a taxi route to it, really helps. Shifts rotate, so you'll need to be flexible about days and nights.

What you'll actually do

Calculate leave pay, notice pay and severance on terminations.
Import clock-card data and check overtime against the BCEA limits.
Run the payroll, check variances and get sign-off before cut-off.
Prepare EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates twice a year.
Keep payroll files and banking details secure under POPIA.
Answer staff payslip queries clearly and in private.
Submit the monthly EMP201 on SARS eFiling and pay PAYE, UIF and SDL.

What you need

Strong Excel, especially VLOOKUP and pivot tables
SARS eFiling and EMP501 reconciliations without supervision
You triple-check figures before anything is paid
Sound knowledge of PAYE, UIF, SDL and the BCEA
Hands-on Sage 300 People, VIP, PaySpace or SimplePay

Helpful, not essential

SAPA (South African Payroll Association) membership or certification
ETI claim experience
