Tour Desk Agent (Waterfront) – Permanent

Guests at this beach resort in Hammarsdale meet you first, so the stay starts at your desk. You'll work with a small crew, so being easy to work with matters as much as skill.

Location: Hammarsdale, KwaZulu-Natal. Applicants who already live in the area get looked at first. Start is planned for the beginning of next month.

• Take card pre-authorisations and settle folios at checkout.
• Allocate rooms and pass early check-ins to housekeeping.
• Run the night audit, close the day and print the flash report.
• Handle complaints at the desk and log them for the duty manager.
• Check guests in and out on Opera or Protel, and scan IDs and passports.
• Book shuttles, dinner reservations and game drives for guests.
• Answer booking emails and calls, and quote rates from the rate sheet.

• Confident on a computer and quick to learn a property system
• Calm with an unhappy guest at 11pm
• Matric
• Honest with cash and card payments
• A hospitality or tourism diploma, or 1 year at a hotel front desk
• Clear spoken and written English
