Trainee Accountant (SAICA Training Contract)

A mid-sized manufacturing group in Mossel Bay needs an accountant who can close fast and explain the variances. This role rewards consistency more than flash.

The work is in Mossel Bay, Western Cape, so you'll need a reliable way to get there every day. You'll start with a short induction before working on your own.

• Improve controls, such as segregation of duties on supplier changes
• Track stock costing, standard costs and production variances
• Run the month-end close and prepare the trial balance
• Prepare the audit file and answer auditor queries
• Run cash flow forecasts and manage the weekly payment run

• You meet month-end deadlines without being chased
• Strong Excel skills, including large data sets and lookups
• At least 3 years of post-qualification accounting experience
• BCom Accounting or equivalent degree

• CA(SA) with SAICA, or AGA(SA) or Professional Accountant (SA) with SAIPA
• Power BI or a similar BI tool
• Completed articles at an audit firm
